This lovely, artful book was the catalog for the very popular “Bellissima” exhibit that ran at Nashville’s Frist Center for the Visual Arts during the summer and fall of 2016. The co-authors were Ken Gross, Robert Cumberford and myself, and it features historic images and marvelous studio photography by Peter Harholdt. The concise entries on each car cover exotic creations such as the Alfa Romeo BATs, Ferrari 250 GTO and 365P “Tre Posti,” ATS 2500 GT, Bizzarrini Strada, Lancia Stratos Zero showcar and many more. An engaging read, it’s wonderful to peruse and dip into the photos and chapters that strike your fancy. A nice historical overview of the yeasty 1945-1975 period of Italian coachbuilding starts everything off.
